I think I have Spanish fever and you better hope it’s contagious cos tapas at London restaurant, Salvador and Amanda, was muy bueno mi amigo!
Being a Saturday, we opted for Bloomsbury, out of the tourist trap of Covent Garden for London Eating, and was guided through the mosaic tiled restaurant to little pouffy booths with rustic wooden tables, candles and gilded mirrors. With the promise of Spanish guitar to accompany our chat, we settled with the menu and idled over picking just three tapas each! It was tough going, everything sounded yummio.
The croquetas were creamy and crispy, the meatballs, melt in the mouth, the patatas bravas had some bravery about them, unlike those served at La Mancha, Chiswick, the lamb skewers left a lot to be desired and the tortilla was overdone but OVERALL, it was really good though I may sound very critical.
As far as London eateries go and especially in central London, this is a great shout.
As this restaurant features on Tastecard, it meant this jaunt was very generous on The London Adventurer’s pocket as it entitled us to 2-4-1.
1 more litre of Sangria Delux it is then…
