Baking isn’t something I would name as one of my strengths.

I’m not a bad cook and can sew to a satisfactory standard but baking is a science, and traditionally, sciences haven’t fared all that well for me.
There’s something so exact about baking that contradicts with its creative quality, however this banana cake can be made by anyone and it will taste delish even if you don’t accurately measure.
Whats not to love?!
125g butter
150 caster sugar
1 egg beaten
2 very ripe bananas mashed
190g self raising flour
1 tsp vanilla extract 
1tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
preheat oven to 150 degrees c
Melt the butter and sugar together and when its melted together take it off the heat
add the vanilla
add the banana
add the egg
add the flour
add the milk
add the cinnamon if  desired
beat together
transfer to a baking tray/loaf tin/cake tin lined with baking paper
bake for 35 minutes
